Synthetic, adulterated or improperly distilled oils, although less expensive, will not provide the same desirable effects and may even have adverse effects. A pure distillation of Lavandula angustifolia has over 100 constituents all adding to the therapeutic benefit. Synthetic essential oils can not offer this full spectrum of the plant. Low grades of essential oils are produced for use in perfumes, candles and other products looking for aromatic enhancement. By buying our oils direct from the source we avoid third party intervention and adulteration. Nothing should be added to increase the volume, either before, during or after the distillation process.
